I am a dedicated and experienced medical professional with over 13 years of practice as a rural General Practitioner in North Queensland. During this time, I have managed a wide variety of medical presentations, with a particular focus on General Practice and Skin Cancer Medicine. My passion for skin health led me to work alongside a dermatologist at the Cairns Skin Centre for seven years, where I deepened my expertise in dermatology and phlebology.

In 2013, I was accepted into the training program with the Australian College of Phlebology, where I earned a certificate in sclerotherapy. I am now advancing through the College’s Advanced Training Program. I have attended several Phlebology conferences and have been fortunate to present a trainee presentation at the Australian College of Phlebology conference in 2022. As a member of the Indigenous Rural and Regional Services committee of the Australian College of Phlebology, I am committed to improving health outcomes in underserved communities.

My medical career began after obtaining my degree from Manipal University. Following graduation, I practiced in Uganda, focusing on General Surgery. I later moved to the United Kingdom, successfully completing my PLAB exams and working at a Senior House level in Orthopaedics and HPB surgery within the NHS. My tenure there included working at renowned institutions such as Kings College Camberwell (F1) and the Imperial College Trust (SHO).

Alongside my clinical work, I have obtained three Post graduate Degrees including a Master in public health, a Master in health management and a Post Graduate Diploma Occupational Medicine from MONASH University. I have been a medical educator and clinical educator with the Australian College of Rural Medicine. Since relocating to Australia in 2008, I have further developed my skills in both rural and urban healthcare settings, particularly in phlebology. In my current practice, I perform Endovenous Laser Ablation, Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy, and Microsclerotherapy two days a week, and I am eager to continue learning about the latest advancements in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency.
